Atomic Fabrication and Performance was started as a way for me to consolidate the products I make and services I offer into a single place. I have spent thousands of hours over the last 10 years researching, wrenching, experimenting, and learning all that I can about LS trucks specifically, but not just limited to trucks. I am currently situated in Huntsville, AL. As someone who started out in this hobby with no previous experience or guidance, I had to figure out what the heck I was doing on my own, This lead to lot of hard lessons, but also ones that are not easily forgotten. I was often frustrated by not having the skills or equipment I really needed to do the project I was working on. I understand the needs and limitations of the weekend-warrior hobbiest car guy very well, because I am one, I have spent a lot of time and energy learning and acquiring skills I can now use to give back to the community in the form of the products I make. AFP is what I enjoy doing, but it is not my full time job. I do not have to sell a single thing to stay in business. I do this hobby because I enjoy it, not because I have to. Everything I make and sell is 100% Made in the USA.
I have run multiple setups on my personal truck including high compression NA 408, that same engine with a TVS1900 on top, a 402 with an 82mm turbo that made 1000+rwhp, and currently that same 402 with a 2.3 whipple that I made a spray bar kit for a nitrous wet shot using my methanol pump that currently puts about 800 to the ground. I have written detailed write ups for forums including the hydroboost brake booster swap, converting a returnless fuel system to a return style using 04+ fuel tanks, how to properly test alcohol injection controllers and pumps, and countless wiring diagrams for multiple uses.
I have been tuning with HPTuners for roughly 10 years and have tuned setups all over the board including 1000hp+ turbo setups, roots blowers, screw blowers, NA, E85, pump gas/methanol, and nitrous. I don’t like what I have seen and heard about many “tuners” out there that charge an incredible amount for a terrible product. Every Joe Blow with a laptop does not make them an expert. I don’t think tuning has to be expensive or some mysterious process .Every person I tune for I am happy to answer as many questions as you have and explain exactly what I am doing, and I don’t think you should have to pay for any changes for additional tuning if you change your setup. I have tuned in person, over email, and through mailing PCMs back and forth.
I started off a few years ago making the coilover conversion brackets for the torsion bar trucks, but now I have expanded to doing more items such as custom coolant tanks, breather tanks, seat brackets, and pullies. I have MIG and TIG machines so I can handle steel, aluminum, and stainless for whatever you need. I have multiple engineering degrees and am very fluent with solidworks and autocad. I can take whatever idea you have and go all the way from a sketch or idea from you, create a 3D model of it, have the parts cut/fabricated, assemble and weld it for you, and have it delivered to you. A one stop shop for anything you need.
